For over 30 years we have specialized in great service and freshly cut local trees. Each tree is individually chosen by us, to ensure we only carry top tier trees.

We stock a wide selection of:

Balsam Fir, Fraser Fir, White Spruce, Blue Spruce and some select varieties.

We carry trees in all price ranges as well. We ensure that the "less than perfect" trees from our field also find a nice home.

Whether your looking for a 12 ' tree for your chalet, or a 3' tree for your condo or porch...we should have what you're looking for!

The last few years have been some for the record books. We sold out in 8 days last year which is one day sooner than the previous year. All of our trees were sold before Dec. 1. We anticipate this year will be much the same as it seems people are anxious to get the Christmas season started earlier every year!

We still have Fraser Fir and White Spruce available for cutting but the selection is limited.

PLEASE NOTE

In previous years we have allowed folks to mark trees in the CUT YOUR OWN FIELD, in advance, for cutting at a later date. Unfortunately due to logistics and limited numbers available, THIS WILL NOT BE AN OPTION THIS YEAR. When you choose a tree on or after opening day, it must be taken out of the field at that time.

Know Your Trees...

White Spruce - strong fragrance - Classic Canadian Christmas tree -strong branches

Blue Spruce - blue colour -sharp needles that have excellent retention- strong branches

Balsam Fir - short, soft needles- sweet/spicy scent - good needle retention

Fraser Fir - slow growing-short, soft needles-strong branches-excellent needle retention

Scotch Pine - long needles-strong branches-good needle retention

Korean Fir - very popular because of pleasing citrus scent and good needle retention.

Important Tips To Help Keep Your Tree From Drying Out

Following this guideline should help you enjoy your tree as long as possible.

Make sure the trunk of your tree is given a fresh cut just before you put it in the stand. A one inch slice should do it.
Invest in a good tree stand that will hold LOTS of water. The tree will drink more water at the beginning of it's time in the stand so water it morning and night until it isn't drinking as much. This could be a few days. IF the water level ever falls below the cut on the bottom, the tree trunk will seal up with sap, the tree will not drink and it will dry out.
If you find yourself with sticky sap on your fingers, reach for the olive oil. Gently rub, then wash off and the problem is solved.

Some Interesting Facts...

We replant one or two seedings for every tree that is cut. This is done in the spring. These require tender loving care and often, depending on weather there is a high mortality rate so sometimes fall planting is necessary.
It usually takes 8-15 years before a tree is harvested. Many of the larger, slower growing Fraser Fir trees can be up to 20 years old.
Every summer about 3 weeks are spent hand pruning the new growth on the trees so they have the beautiful shapes people come to expect. This is painstakingly done using pruners, shears and a machete. It now often involves a ladder too!
We don't use pesticides or herbicides which makes the business more labour intensive for us and healthier for you and the environment.
Unlike artificial trees which are made from plastic, a real tree provides oxygen and habitat for many small animals, insects and birds.
When the tree is ready to be discarded it often can provide shelter for winter birds on your porch and in spring is fully compostable.
